DRIVONA / INSTALLATION

From box to road, clearly.

A complete first-use path for S1 and S2, based on the current reviewed product manual.

Start setup

01 / FIRST-TIME SETUP

Prepare and power on.

These first four steps apply to both S1 and S2.

  1. 01

    Charge

    Charge through the USB-C port using a 5 V DC, 1 A power supply.

  2. 02

    Install the app

Install the Drivona app from the App Store or Google Play, or use the official download link supplied with the product.

  3. 03

    Enable phone services

Turn on Bluetooth, Location Services and mobile data or Wi-Fi. Grant nearby-device, location, notification and background-activity permissions when prompted.

  4. 04

    Switch on

Press and hold the left button for about 5–7 seconds. The full ring flashes green once and the power-on tone sounds once.

02 / PAIR AND POSITION

Connect, mount, confirm.

Finish these checks before setting off.

  1. 01

    Pair the correct model

Select S1 or S2 in the app and follow the instructions. On successful first pairing, a green chase light travels once around the ring and the pairing tone sounds once.

  2. 02

    Position securely

Place the device where it can be seen or heard without obstructing the driver’s view, instruments, airbags or vehicle controls.

  3. 03

    Run the pre-drive check

Confirm the device is connected, location is available, alerts are enabled, and volume, units and the speeding threshold are configured.

  4. 04

    Keep the connection available

While driving, keep Bluetooth, Location Services and data enabled, and allow the Drivona app to run in the background.

03 / DRIVING ALERTS

Learn the full-ring signals.

Blue — camera

Fixed or mobile speed-camera alert: three blue flashes and three warning tones.

Yellow — road safety

Accident, roadworks, broken-down vehicle or another road-safety alert: three yellow flashes and three warning tones.

Red — speeding

Configured speeding-alert threshold reached: three red flashes and three warning tones.

What do the two buttons do?

With the front facing you: hold the left button for about 5–7 seconds to switch on; hold the right for about 5–7 seconds to switch off. Press left once to report an incorrect or cleared alert; press right once to confirm an alert. Double-press left for a missing mobile camera, double-press right for a missing fixed camera, and press both together to report a missing road hazard. On S2, hold both buttons together for 3 seconds to switch the screen off or on. Reports should be made by a passenger or only after parking safely.

What does the low-battery signal mean?

The full ring flashes red once every 4 seconds and the low-battery tone sounds with each flash. Stop safely and charge as soon as possible using a 5 V DC, 1 A supply and an undamaged USB-C cable.
